Hero's Realm: Heroic Edition

I don't deny it.

Approaching 60%!

I think we should all start labeling our releases like they label dark chocolate. You know that 60% Cocoa release is gonna be extra zesty.

Actor insists on joining at wrong level [RM2K3]

Possible problems:

- The character's max level is 2.
- Something else is changing that variable to 2 before that character joins.
- As kentona said, changing a character's initial stats in the database will not retroactively affect existing savefiles.
- Can't remember if there's an "Initialize" checkbox in 2k3, but if that box is checked and the character starts at level 2 in the database, they'll always join at level 2.

Ciel Fledge KS Campaign: Funded!

I keep reading this as Ciel Fudge

But dang, super happy that the campaign was a success! You go!

Which RPG Maker to Choose? Please Help

VX Ace is probably the best choice at the moment. MV does have some advantages over Ace such as better resolution options, and gives you a few more in-editor toggles such as Sideview battles, but it is unfortunately a less stable engine and demands much more in terms of system requirements from your players.

There's not a ton you can do with MV that Ace doesn't already do reasonably well, so you might not notice a huge difference. Unless you're really good at coding, in which case just go use Game Maker.

I'd only recommend 2k3 at this point if you want the easiest option for some sort of pixel horror game. There's very little you can do to customize it compared to newer engines.

A Public Apology

I think it's very commendable that you came forward about what you did and offered transparency. That was a far more mature act than denying it and passing the blame, and many would.
